Here are three user-friendly educational tools designed to help Americans become more aware of financial and retirement planning issues. They were developed by the American Savings Education Council (ASEC). Interactive versions of all three tools are available at the ASEC website, www.asec.org. Complete the worksheets online and get instant feedback. All three are informative and fun to use!

Ballpark Estimate—

This simple worksheet is designed to help you identify how much savings you will need to live comfortably in retirement. Of course, planning for retirement is not a one-size-fits-all exercise, but this tool does a great job of giving you an approximate idea of what your retirement nest egg goal should be. And, it is surprisingly quick and easy.

Retirement Readiness Rating (R³)—

Use this quiz to determine your Retirement Readiness Rating (R³). Your R³ will let you know how well you are doing in financially preparing for retirement. It will also highlight necessary action items and suggest some resources to healthy Retirement Readiness Rating (R³).

Retirement Personality Profiler—

When it comes to preparing for retirement, what kind of person are you? Are you a Planner, Saver, Struggler, Impulsive, or Denier? Take this quiz and find out! Uncover and overcome those attitudes and behaviors that may stand in the way of achieving the retirement lifestyle of your dreams.
